We warmly welcome you and your child back to school after the second term holidays. We hope you have a great time bonding as a family.
As we have some new students in Term 2, below are some information which serves as reminders and news to you and our new parents. We also look forward to another exciting and fruitful term with your child.
1. Fee payment
Invoice for Term 3 payment has been sent out before the end of Term 2. Please make payment by this Friday, 3 July 2015.
2. K2 Overnight camp
Friday – Saturday, 24 – 25 July 2015
School holiday for PreNursery, Nursery and K1.
There will be an overnight camp for many K2 children. It will be a school holiday for all PreNursery, Nursery and K1 children on Friday, 24 July 2015. K2 children who did not sign up for the camp, they do not come to school as well.
3. Road Safety and Parking
Please be reminded that you are driving within school zone, hence, we need your co-operation to drive with caution and patience for the sake of the safety to our children and all road users. For safety reasons, please avoid alighting your child just across the entrance of the kindergarten.
No parking is allowed alongside the road and within the kindergarten’s premises. It is reserved solely for school buses. If you wish to walk your child into the school hall, please use the neighbourhood car park at Block 222.
If you are walking your child to school, you are advised to use the small side gate and the traffic light crossing at the T-junction.
4. Display of ‘DROP OFF & GO’ sign on windscreen
Do display the ‘DROP OFF & GO’ sign on your windscreen at all times when sending your child to school.
We seek your understanding and cooperation as we make this transition as smooth as we can.
5. K2 Graduation Ceremony cum Concert 2015
K2 parents may wish to take note that K2 graduation ceremony cum concert 2015 is scheduled on Saturday, 31st October 2015, 9am to 1pm. Full-dressed rehearsal is scheduled on Thursday, 29 October 2015.
6. Sick children and contagious diseases
If your child is diagnosed as having contracted with HFMD, Chicken Pox or Measles, please keep your child at home till he/she is well. This will not only prevent disease from spreading, but also safeguard the sick child from being exposed to other infections.
A medical certificate/report to certify that your child is fit to return to school is compulsory.
7. Daily Health Checks
Visual checking of your child’s hands and mouth are being conducted by the teachers on a daily basis. We would like to seek your co-operation by helping us check your child first before sending him/her to school. Your child’s wellbeing is a shared responsibility between the school and parents/caregivers as well.
8. Birthday celebration
We are pleased to notice and thank parents in making efforts to avoid packing unhealthy snacks in the goodie bags. Stationeries, art and craft materials, books etc are better choices for all the children. We seek your understanding and co-operation.
Do remember to inform your child’s class teacher one week in advance if you intend to celebrate your child’s birthday in school.
